When i realised that building things for people and giving them something to live in, to stand on or to be sheltered from is one of the most beautiful things to give in life.

I have many 'favorite' customers, but the one that stands out most was a builder whose house i built in Richmond, he was honestly the most considerate and thoughtful client i have ever worked for. He made coffees for me every day, bought me food and even took me on his 45ft boat! It was amazing :)

What do you like most about your job?

The versatility and the challenge keeps me hungry for more, it's hard for me to not love what i do as i have a genuine passion in carpentry, and most importantly the satisfaction of giving a client exactly what they've asked for whether it be a decking or a complete home renovation.

Are you able to do this type of job?!  Do you know anyone who is able to do this type of work?! (Whether it be plumbing, electrical etc etc.)  Do you need a licence trade for this job?!  Do you need a crew or can you do it on your own?!  Do i need permits?!

1) Question: How long will it take to receive your quote? 1) Answer: Within 2-5 working days.  2) Question: When can you start? 2) Answer: After a deposit is made, which shows your commitment, as soon as realistically possible.  3) Question: Will you give me your cheapest price? 3) Answer: Of course i will, all quotes are competitive.

The fact that i'm honest and passionate about what i do, it only takes my clients a few minutes to realise that i take what i do seriously and that i have a genuine interest in not only the job but most importantly making sure the client is 100% satisfied.

Dimensions of the job. The materials they want to use. Anything specific or specialised that the client is after. Type of access to the job site.

1) I give advice on using less expensive materials that will achieve the same look and quality as what the client is after, therefore saving money.  2) I have a direct link to all major timber yards in my area, giving me competitive prices on materials, in turn making it cheaper for clients.  3) Competitive quotes and no cost.

I charge according to the amount of time it takes for me to do the job, as i have a good understanding about my trade, i am able to do it effectively and efficiently, therefore, the pricing for my jobs are always competitive and within reason. As well as that, i am able to stay competitive with materials, as i have trade accounts with all major timber yards.

I normally charge 1 of 2 ways for my services, depending on the job.  1) Hourly rate OR 2) Total Quote.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in all aspects of my trade, being the only apprentice working with my boss at the time, i was in a favoring position to be taught about all things relative to carpentry and thus giving me the advantage of being knowledgeable and experienced throughout all facets of my trade.

I've been in the trade for 7 years, i'm a qualified carpenter and have done a wide range of  jobs throught my years. I've been fortunate enough to learn about all aspects of carpentry while working as an apprentice so that's given me the edge that i needed to go out on my own and start my business.
