  Pathetic, Dishonest, Greedy Discussed and agreed to do decking and staining during site inspection. Discussed all the details including the stain colour MERBAU matching my inside floor board. I totally trusted him, sent me a quote $3400. Started the job next day, in the evening told me that after 4 weeks of timber drying i will have to buy the stain colour and do it myself. When I opposed, he lied that he never promised to do stain, and he didnt mention it in the quote. I told him that but we discussed it and he promised to do Merbau color. And that staining is obviously part of the deck installation. But he told me that he didn't mention it in the quote, so its not part of the decking installation. As he has alyready installed the deck with 3 years warranty from the business, I dint have any other option to left. He demanded extra $400 for stain, but we agreed on extar $200. So I aksed him to come and do the stain after 4 weeks, but now he said that he has this some chemical which he will use and can stain the deck straight away, don't need to wait for 4 weeks. I was shocked again. Anyways he did a very poor job of staing next day, not covering the timber entirely, leaving the gaps and uneven coating. When I requested to stain it properly he demanded another $50 for 2nd coating. I was speechless, i told him to do atleast 1st caoting properly, but he kind of became defensive, i was so stressed so couldn't argue. He took the money and left. I wish I could attach the photos of the deck here. Anyways, be careful with this business.

  So happy I found Sydney Renovision. Peter and the team were so awesome. They built me an amazing deck. So happy with there work and highly recommend them. They came on time and worked very professionally. Would definitely hire them again.
