Accepted Answer

yes.  I have supplied my coverage for liability here.  I have no disappointed clients, and i'm happy to advise clients of clients I have helped for recommendations.  And yes I guarantee my work, under consumer affairs rules and regulations

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I believe I answered this one previously in other statements.  I started as a wedding singer for a number of years, and it moved on from there with a great amount of knowledge from practitioners during those periods which helped immensely.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

A recent Wedding service where two women committed to each other was such a moving event.  The photos showed a great amount of love and some times I started to tear up, it was hard not to.I get involved with my clients and it shows in the results.

What do you like most about your job?

I'm a people person.  My previous clients will tell you my enthusiasm and positive interaction to produce positive outcomes is one of my greatest abilities.  I love people photography, i get paid for what I love doing.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Viewing the work, and getting the recommendations from previous clients.  I wish money didn't come into the equation, but it does for most.  The adage "you get what you pay for" is still pretty true. Although there will be many practitioners that charge much more for little outcomes

What if I'm sick or incapacitated on the day of the event.  Hasn't happened so far, but I have an extensive list of practitioners I can call on if this was the case. The cost of additional services longer shooting times, albums and whether attendees at events have access to thier own photo's?

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I only schedule one event for the day of the booking, thus eliminating conflicts of a kind that would interfere with the booked event.  I am a senior practitioner with many years in management and consumer service, so i'm not going to be sidetracked by issues that don't offer positive outcomes.

Because It's not just the day when the shots are taken that is important, and I will worry to death until i deliver the results that clients expect and want!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

Dates and Times are important.  Do they want a complete coverage of the event from first thing in the day till the final song at a reception.  Or a shortened less costly approach.  Do they want complete access and ownership of all of the photographs in the form of a memory device/s

1.  Have ideas of what you would like (Mood Boards are great) 2.  Have all details ready.  Dates, Times and any other relevant information that may be needed. 3. Be prepared to work cooperatively with me to obtain the best possible outcomes for your event.

2x 10" x 8" pre wedding pics framed and presented to clients after deposit's paid.  These will be based on a 30 minute choice of location within 20klms and weather (if outdoor shots required) from Engagement event or other to be negotiated with me.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I am competitive because any viewing of my work and understanding of what other photographers charge will show the client dollar for dollar it will be true value.  I will attend rehearsal of ceremonies at no extra cost to make the final outcomes something clients can be proud of.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

My general charge for 4 hours of shooting, basic white balance and colour correction supplied on Memory device/s, an average client approximately 350 to 500 shots in both colour and black and white, is $920.  Longer periods of engagement and printed albums incur additional charges negotiated.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Weddings and Portrait photography are my specialties as I am definitely a people person.  I also have dabbled in model photography and could have quite easily turned my talents  to architectural photography also, but remain committed to Weddings, Portraiture and event photography.
