Business description
"Hi, I'm Dearne and I’m a photographer in Newcastle. I'm better known as Dea, so when you meet me, please feel free to call me either!
Since I was old enough to stand up and strike a pose, I loved photography. It's just one of those things that I know I am meant to be doing... No arguments... I get excited every time I take a photo.
At high school I was that 'arty chick', who hung out in the art rooms, hand painted black and white photos and was impatient to see how my image had developed in the darkroom...thank God for digital freedom!
Besides being super passionate about photography and telling people's stories through a creative medium, I am a mum to two beautiful boys, and a wife, to an equally spunky husband. Yes, I occasionally stalk them with the camera...they say they don't like the camera...I know the truth though :)
I love vintage clothing, art and furniture. I have so many old cups in my house collecting dust, but I figure the dust just adds to their character.
My style is candid, fun and timeless. I want you to look back when you are wrinkly (lets face it, it's going to happen!), and smile at that photo...you might not remember where it was or who took it, but it will evoke an emotion. I love that so much about photography and love sharing that with those I meet.
