When I finished school I had a big interest in electrical and electronics. From there I started my electrical trade and I still enjoy being in the industry and keeping up with the every changing industry.

When engaging an electrical contractor we would recommend asking how long has the contractor been working in the state? Can they provide an electrical safety certificate as per the Western Australia standards. Could the work be quoted before the works begin.

Are my Smoke detectors hardwired?  The best way to find out is to turn the power off and wait five minutes. After five minutes a hard wired smoke detector will start beeping. Then turn power back on to stop the beeping.

IDE Australia, offer free, obligation free quotes. Some of the things you will need to know are; What area is the property that the work is requested to be completed? How soon do you need the works completed? What is the age of the building? Is the building currently vacant?

If getting new light fittings, we recommend the customer buying them, this will guarantee we install a light they are 100% satisfied with.  Knowing what work they want done, so it can be completed in one call out.  Ensure the customer is available on the day to let the technician in, this will ensure our guys are not waiting around.

IDE Australia, can either provide a quotation on request before any works begin or can work on a cost plus basis. Our cost plus basis is worked out from our agreed schedule of rates.

IDE Australia, can preform all types of commercial and residential works, We do however have a great knowledge back up generator power and solar bore pumps. As well as general electrical supply, installation and fault finding.

IDE Australia, have experienced electrical tradesmen that hold electrical "A" grade licenses. We employ apprentices electricians, with the hope to build the trade industry for years to come. Aswell as offering different training to suitable employee such as Fibre optic terminations, Data cabling, first aid and other training as required to complete the tasks at hand.
