The most satisfying aspect of the job is seeing the satisfaction on the Client's face. It is a rewarding experience when the Client's expectation has been attained if not exceeded - especially when constructing a vision that was in their head and making it into a reality. There is also a great enjoyment providing outstanding workmanship knowing that the structure will be around for decades to come

Clients should always ask the Service Professional: 1. Registered business and request ABN and Contract Licence Number. This can be validated by the Client using the ABN LookUp website 2. Insurance - Client should request to see a copy of the latest Certificate of Currency. This should show the issue date 3. Qualifications

Darkhorse Construction will provide a written contract to the Client outlining commencement times of each working day. In the event of unforseen circumstances, Darkhorse Construction will notify the Client and will come to another agreed commencement time and date

Since Darkhorse Construction is a small construction business we don't have high over-heads like other construction businesses. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, honesty and integrity. We don't have multiple contracts going on therefore allowing us to devote our resources and dedication to the one contract from commencement to completion.

1. If applicable have plans/drawings been drawn up and approved. 2. If applicable does the job require council approval or a (DA). 3. The client's expectations. 4. The client's budget. 5. Does the client have set materials or are they open to other suggestions. 6. Does the client want to compromise the quality of the workmanship to fit within their budget. 7. The client be aware that any changes to the original quotation will result in an increase in the price of the quotation.

We don't put mark ups on products. We are honest and fair in all our pricing. We ask our client what is their prepared budget and will work towards that if it is feasible based on current material costs and labour

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Service is charged consolidating materials and labour. Dependent on the service requested, progress payment is outlined. Firstly a site visit is required so that an accurate quotation can be provided. A detailed statement of work is provided to the customer showing the cost of service against each task and date on which payment is required

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I've worked on building sites since the age of 12 years. Throughout my apprenticeship I worked for the same master builder from start to finish. Also worked with and for several other master builders throughout my apprenticeship. Since becoming a tradesman I've use the knowledge I gained throughout my apprenticeship to produce high quality workmanship on all contracts, tasks, and jobs i have been asked to carry out. I also take the opportunity to improve my skill sets by staying up to date with the latest methodologies and products. Since becoming a Contractor in 2008 I have always done my best to balance professionalism with budget requirements to ensure that my clients are always satisfied from start to finish. The difference between myself and the next person is I always take pride in my work, I care about what the client need and always work to the clients specifications and expectations.
