Meeting new people and being able to build a quality home that is someone's 'dream home'. Also helping people to improve their homes which in turn improves quality of life.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Does the contract and costs include everything eg; plumping and concreting /blinds, light fittings etc.  A lot of bigger builders do not always include everything and then you end up paying for 'extra's'.

We are honest and reliable local residents who have lived and worked in Port Macquarie for the past 30 years. Any of our suppliers would attest to our reliability and trustworthiness.

Quality workmanship and inclusions in new homes.  Service and follow up provided promptly and friendly efficient staff who are happy to answer any questions.  Free quotes provided.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Exactly what the job is - if it is a new home or renovation/addition then a copy of the plan and a copy of the site classification and engineers detail. For smaller jobs eg carpentry/concreting etc we would come and look at the job to ensure that a realistic quote is provided.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1 - Have a good understanding of what you actually want to build and achieve. 2 - All Prime Cost (PC) items eg; electrical goods / tiles / blinds/carpets are listed in contract and if client wishes to change to cheaper PC items then cost can be reduced.

We are happy to offer Oneflare customers 'pensioner discount rates' and reliable service. We would offer reduced rates to any Oneflare customer who is looking at resealing their driveway.  For new home builders we would provide a free TV or BBQ for their alfresco area.

The fact that quality inclusions are provided along with efficient and competent work ethics that ensure works are completed in time frames required.  The quality workmanship we pride ourselves on ensures that limited call backs are required - if ever.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We normally complete a quote and when that is accepted we would then complete a contract for all parties to sign prior to commencing works.  For new homes and larger renovations etc we would request a deposit and/or progress payments as specific works are completed as stated in contracts.  An invoice would be provided and payment would be required within 7 working days.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Whilst our main role is building new homes we are also very at home with assisting people with renovations and additions, concreting and all aspects of carpentry and building works.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Accepted Answer

Certificate III in Carpentry, Certificate IV in Building and Construction and 30 years of experience in all aspects of building works.  Excellent people skills that ensures quality sub contractors are retained and clients are always happy with the service we provide.
