I recently moved out of a beautiful home managed by Asset Agents. During my 18 month stay at this property, I found Asset Agents to be, not only professional, but also personable and friendly. Their approach very much reflected the community spirit I found in this lovely suburb. They cared about any concerns or issues around property maintenance and were more than prompt to address any issues that arose. I want to particularly thank Kath Miller, who is a rare gem in this industry. Her level of care for us as tenants surpassed any I have experienced in the past - and I have been fortunate to have wonderful property managers in the past. Replying to Brodey Dear Brodey, It is unfortunate that you have left many details out surrounding your tenancy. During your tenancy with our company there were numerous issues arise with yourself and your approved occupant including rental arrears, breach of tenancy agreement, unapproved animals at the property, drug use, police attendance and ultimately damage to the property all of which the owner was made aware of. As the managing agents for this property, we have legal obligations to uphold legislation to protect our owners and ultimately our company when tenants do not adhere to their signed lease agreement. Our owners chose not to renew your lease and to issue you with a Notice To Leave, which they are well within their rights to do. We operate under owner instruction at all times and within the boundaries of the Queensland Legislation. At no stage were any emergency repairs not attended to and at all times the smoke alarms compliance certificates were valid. It is unfortunate that some tenants will not hold themselves accountable and/or responsible for their lease agreements that they have in place for properties that they lease from property owners. You had the opportunity to challenge the claim on your bond through QCAT which you chose not to proceed with based on the amount of evidence held by our office.
