  The job was done well, the garage is looking beautiful now. I am not sure if the price was too high or reasonable though because I did not compare with other companies, since I needed to get the job done soon to put my car in. With hindsight, knowing that not much material costs were required, this job would have been superb if the price were a bit lower. Overall, Tom is great and provided good work.

  Tom is a very knowledgeable builder and painter. My father was a master painter and I come from a long line of carpenters and builders so I am in a position to make this statement. Tom will consult, I mean really consult you for the best solution. Tom removes the uncertainty and guesswork associated with jobs that would usually require the attendance of several trades. Tom is reliable and does what he says he will. A spotlight was broken when he removed some guttering 10 metres above ground level however next morning he turned up with a replacement fitting and globe in hand. Honesty and customer service is lost on many tradespersons, but not so Tom. In terms of pricing, Tom will be dearer than the cheapest available but having parted with the money Tom will fix aspects of the job along the way that may not have been envisaged, e.g. tending to wood rot from a leaking gutter when replacing a fascia. Moreover, the quality of Tom's work is consistently high and something you can feel your hard earnt dollars were well spent on (well almost). So if you have a complex/complicated job to rejuvenate a structure or dwelling, you should give serious consideration to hiring Tom for an inspection and quote!

  Tom arrived on time, was very knowledgeable about the solution to my problem, (rotting window wood) and explained all the options. He sourced a replacement window that was appropriate for the age of the house. He was very clean and tidy. the window was very well fitted and Tom went out of his way to make sure everything was just right. Would definitely call Tom again.
