Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes we are fully insured.  Any works over $16,000.00 require Warranty Insurance( which is a extra fee if it applies).  This cost will be included in the quote or variation if it applies.

We are reliable and trustworthy because we are honest, and hard working.  We treat every home as our own with respect and care.  We take no short cuts.  Works are done to be "Spot On" and to make our customers happy.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Accepted Answer

All our works are done in accordance to Building Regulations and OH&S standards.  We have public Liability Insurance.  We are a family business of approx 14 years and have no sub-contractors.  All homes are treated like our own home with care and respect.  We aim for every job to be "Spot On".

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Wether their house is weatherboard or brick.  Is it on timber stumps or concrete stumps.  We need to come out to inspect the house before we can give a quote.  We work anywhere in Melbourne within 45-50 min drive from Melbourne CBD.  We have worked in North, South, East And West Suburbs of Melb

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1)You save money by doing your sub-floor works before doing any other internal renovations.   2)Always make sure your floors are level before plastering or painting or tiling or adding on any extension. 3)For brick homes that need underpinning make sure you get a engineer which we can refer you to.

We look after our customers where we can.  We will provide references on request after giving a quote if you required.  Discounts are given to pensioners to the best of our ability.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

We provide a permit for the restumping works.  No Sub-Contractors.  No short cuts.  All works to be "Spot On" according to our motto.  You will be happy at end of job and to have levelled floors and strong foundation.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Free quote and advise on site inspection for job in whole.  If works are over $5000.00 a MBAV Contract is completed between owner and builder.  We take 10% Deposit on signing contract or acceptance of Quote.  Half way through job when inspection is done,before we pour concrete 70% payment is required. On completion the remaining Ballance. All job to be "Spot On" and customer is happy.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Sub-floor works.  Restumping/Reblocking/ Levelling weatherboard and brick homes.  Also do Underpinning to brick homes.  Lay extension of subfloors on concrete stumps.  Change all timber stumps to Concrete stumps.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We are a Registered Building Practitioner of Victoria. We are also members of the MBAV and H.I.A.  All works are done in accordance to building and OH&S regulations. We have been in the industry for Approx 20 yrs and in our own family business for 14 yrs. We use Laser levels and modern technology.
