The guys from Simons Tree Surgery were on site at the time they said they would be and completed the agreed work with little fuss, job completed with no disruption to either business between the trees that had to come out. Will use Simons again if we have a need for this type of work.Jason

They turned up with virtually no notice, damaged my shed, destroyed the footpath, left the gate unattached from the wall. I would not recommend this company. repliedSimons Tree Surgery18 Apr 2017
Hi Jason we are disappointed to hear your comments. We tried numerous times to contact you to arrange returning the bolts for your gate. When I did talk to you we discussed what happened with the dog. We would not normally leave a gate unattatched, but, as you know there was an issue with your dog whilst we were reattatching the gate. We would have finished putting the bolts back in the gate, but your dog ran out and bit one of our employees whilst he was working at re-attatching it. In the process he had to run, leaving our socket set there with the bolts. You had come back to the house whilst we were in the middle of your job and let your dog off the lead inside your house, you then left again, but left the back door open for it to run out and attack. The following day we returned to collect the socket set and the bolts were in there. I apologize for not responding quicker to return the bolts, but due to the week we had with cyclone emergency work, this was not a normal week for us. We had to cancel your job initially due to Cyclone Debbie hitting us that day. In preparation you were contacted by phone the afternoon prior and advised that due to the cyclone we would be unable to attend, booking your job for the following Thursday exactly a week later. You were sent a text message the evening prior to confirm our attendance on that day, and confirm that at that time you responded to the text saying ok, what time shall we expect you? Its unfortunate that you feel we did not give you enough notice, but apologize if this was not up to your expectation. We had a discussion about your shed roof collapsing when it happened. Your shed roof collapsed when touched by one of the boys, due to its age, unmaintained and carrying almost 6 inches of leaf litter upon it. When it happened I called you to inform you what had occurred. You advised me not to worry about it as you are getting rid of the shed anyway (along with the tree we were there removing) to make way for your new pool. We are a well respected company and pride ourselves on our expertise in the field and our customer service. Yes things can happen in this industry but to date we have never had a situation we could not sort out with a customer. We would be happy for you to contact us to make a time to return your bolts if you would like. The nature of this job entails driving over council pathways and driveways every day of the week to access areas. We have no knowledge of the pathway out the front, and are not sure of its condition before we arrived, again we are happy to discuss this if you would like to contact me directly.Nicole H

Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We are covered by Public Liability Insurance, and all our staff are covered by Workcover, providing you with peace of mind. We also guarantee to provide you with the safest, most professional service on the Coast.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I recently attended a quote where the customer requested a large Leopard Tree be removed from the front yard. The tree had grown so large that it was overhanging the carport, neighbours and road. I suggested keeping the tree and pruning it. He agreed and was amazed by the job and extremely thankful
