Red Rabbit rubbish removal and recycling service is fully insured protecting us and our lovely customers. We guarantee our work to the extent that we do not ask to be paid until a job is completed and the cutsomer is satisfied with the outcome.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

We wanted to be part of the solution not part of the problem.  We wanted to help the growth of recycling in Australia & Melbourne and hopefully leave a slightly better, cleaner and cleverer place for our kids...oh and yours. :-)

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

As mentioned above I think one of our favourite stories was helping the family of an elderly woman get her backyard back. She had been unable to keep up with the work of pruning, weeding and cleaning for several years. Her family too and tried but failed to hold back the forces of time and nature.They called us and in a day and a half we cleaned up the entire jungle and this charming lady was able to walk down her back garden footpath again.

What do you like most about your job?

One of the best parts of our work is meeting new people and helping them solve a never ending array of weird and wonderful problems.  Mountains of rubbish from home renovations to secret gardens buried under years of green waste to a retail business who had not seen the back of their factory in 12 years!

We are amongst the elite rubbsih removal comapnies in Melbourne for many reasons but perhaps the most significant to our customers is that we rely on repeat business, word-of-mouth recommendations and references.  Simply, we trade on our reputation. Without happy customers we have no business.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Typically we need to know what type of items are to be removed. The volume of items to be removed and where the items and rubbish are located on the site or property. A good way to picture how much a cubic metre of rubbish looks like is to try and imagine four 240 litre wheelie bins. Four of these wheelie bins is approx 1 cubic metre.

Customers can save money by, when possible, moving their rubbish or waste items to a central location on their site or property.  Rather than having theyre rubbish scattered far and wide. That way our truck teams can load the items faster and more efficiently...saving everyone time and money.

Our pricing is competitive because we go out of our way to reduce the rubbish and waste that goes into landfill. By doing this we are able to pass our savings on to our lovely customers. Everyone's a winner baby!

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Most rubbish and waste is covered by our $85 per cubic metre flat rate. Very heavy or labour intensive items such as bricks, concrete and soil incur a slightly higher fee...but still affordable and competitive with bin hire, plus we do all the work for you!

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Recycle, re-use and restore. We recycle everything possible, which includes supporting several local charities and then we take whatever is left to a private waste company who sort through and recycle every little bit they can. This includes, plastic, rubber, timber, e-waste, TV's, chemicals, pallets...you name it they recycle it.
