Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Realistic Views has workers compensation and public liability insurance. Our photographers are also white card certified.  Photography is an art and like any art is subjective - if you don't like the way something looks simply email or call us and we can adjust the editing to suit your tastes

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Jacqui started the business after 10 years in Real Estate marketing, working for major agencies in Darwin & Canada. Upon our return to Darwin after a year working abroad we decided to go into business for ourselves and began the long and highly critiqued road to becoming a professional photographer.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We had a hesitant client who took their own photos using an iPhone and loved them. Their real estate agent talked them into getting professional photographs. The whole shoot they followed us around skeptical we could do better. The finished images blew them away, I love it when that happens!

The best part of our work is meeting all the different people, averaging 5-10 properties a day we never know what's waiting for us around the corner!  Luxury and high-end real estate are my favorites, as they appreciate the service we offer and understand its value in finding the right buyer

Q) How many photos do I get for my money? Q) How much experience do you have? Q) Do you use a wide angle lens (this must be a yes or go somewhere else) Q) What other services do you offer? (One stop shop is easier and quicker than getting multiple suppliers)

Q) Do you want the curtains open? A) Yes! Typically the more light the better  Q) Should I get a twilight shoot? A) If you have outdoor entertaining, balconies with a view etc than these photos will have more 'wow' factor  Q) Do I need a floorplan? A) Yes! They help buyers with the property layout.

We rely on repeat clients who have very high expectations - most are typically selling or leasing properties worth hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars!  We take the utmost care and pride in our work to ensure our clients have top quality images for their marketing or personal use.

We have photographed over 2,000 homes in the greater Darwin Area; work in the business full-time for over 60 different Real Estate Agents, 15 Builders and countless private vendors since we started our business.   Our motto is to take as many photographs as a property allows under one fixed rate.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

* Where the property is located? (remote locations such as Batchelor and Dundee have a fuel surcharge. Humpty Doo to the City is all standard.) * Daytime or Twilight Shoot? * Do you require floorplans or script / copy writing? * Urgency - ASAP or a month away? The more notice you give the better!

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1) Ensure property is neat, clean and tidy (its obvious but you would be surprised) 2) All lights on (please ensure they work and are the same colour) and fans off 3) KnickKnacks packed away, kitchen bench cleared, beds made, bathrooms cleared etc Please contact us for a detailed checklist per room.

We allow a property to dictate how many photographs we take, by not limiting the number of shots we take; you can be assured that every angle of your home is covered and available for your marketing material with no hidden costs for extra photos.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Typically we invoice our clients for payment via cash or direct bank transfer.  Paypal and credit card payment is also available with a surcharge.
