What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
Scott is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia, and has been practicing since 1996. He holds the degrees of BA and LLB as well as Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. He has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2005, an internationally recognised organisation whose membership requires demonstrated expertise in trust and estate matters. Scott served a full 6-year term as a committee member of the QLD Branch of STEP, and was also treasurer of the same QLD Branch for 3 years. In that time, Scott assisted the QLD branch in developing the education services offered by that branch which are well regarded in the industry. He has in the past presented seminars on a specific topic at the College of Law as part of the Master's program. Previously Scott was an in-house legal counsel and trust manager at a private trustee company for 17 years, and in that time developed a deep understanding of and high level of knowledge in all matters of succession law including estate planning, estate and trust litigation, estate and trust administration, and elder law issues.
