For painters you must make sure they are registered. I wouldn't recommend a question as such but you should feel comfortable when you meet the tradesman, as they are usually entering your home sometimes un supervised.

Q: What colour should I choose? A: We car recommend colours but at the end of the day it is your choice. We usually get an idea of what they were thinking and then suggest a few to point them In the right direction.

For online quotes: If it is a new property we need to know the m2 of the property. If it is an excising property rough dimensions of the rooms and what surfaces require painting. Alternatively we are always happy to come out and have a look.

Our prices work on job by job quoting, and prices are based on m2 of the painting required. Some quoting can be done over the internet with a few questions, where as others I require a site visit.
