I have full P I Insurance up to $1,000,000. I am also a registered BAS Agent and Chartered Accountant, so I am subject to very strict regulations and safeguards.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started doing the accounting for my own retail computer business when MYOB become popular around 2000, and realised I had a strong  ability to do the accounting for small to medium business.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I took over the accounting for a small manufacturing business, and achieved in 1 day a week what 1 to 2 full time staff were previously doing. I also do extra  functions e.g. BAS returns for them.

I assist clients (mainly in small business) to understand how their business is performing and what they can do to achieve greater profitability. They are usually very grateful for the advice given.

Whether you are a registered BAS Agent, as it is illegal to do contract accounting if you are not registered.Also what accounting / bookkeeping  experience you have had, and with which accounting systems.

What sort of entity should they have to run their business e.g. sole trader or company; and what accounting system to use. I ask the relevant questions to access which is the best entity and accounting system for their particular requirements, and advise them accordingly.

i am extremely well qualified and experienced in the work I do. I also have extensive experience in all aspects of accounting,  and I am expert in the most popular accounting systems.

I am a BAS Agent and Chartered Accountant with over 30 years business experience. I specialise in accounting and accounting systems for small business. I am an Accredited Partner for Reckon and Xero; and a Proadvisor and trainer for QuickBooks. I am also experienced in MYOB.

The type of business they are running; who does the accounting and how much they do; the accounting system used; what they want to achieve from their accounting system.

1) Clients should have a very clear idea of what they want to achieve from their business, so I can offer the appropriate advice. 2) They should have all their financial records up to date, as far as possible. 3) They should disclose any material facts which may assist me in assessing  the work.

I charge at a competitive rate, given that I am a Chartered Accountant with extensive training and experience in all aspects of accounting for small to medium business, so the client receives expert advice as a reasonable price.

My preferred method of billing is a monthly fixed charge, so that clients can accurately budget for their accounting costs. I also bill on an hourly basis for one-off consulting or training.

I specialise in advising small to medium business in all industries, and I have extensive experience in handling inventory control and importing stock from overseas.
