Yes all my business is fully insured including myself and any employee that I would use on any of my contracts for any client I guarantee any works carried out by my business is to Australian standards

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Over twenty years ago before I started in the painting industry I was a apprentice builder in a small country town in  NSW  which we done most of the trades through my employer than when we ran out of work I moved states and then got a painting apprenticeship and the rest is history

My first real contract for a client was one to remember I priced for only two rooms to be painted which was great that I got this job. She was a lovely old lady which was widowed. The job was only gunna take me two days I was there for two weeks she kept finding things for me to paint I painted inside and out and even painted her pots for her plants she thought I was great what a lovely person which I will never forget

The thing I like most about my trade is the feeling you get when you see the end result compared to what is was before you started the project its very satisfying to see

Make sure he or she has a trade licence and is qualified for the requirements needed and have they got insurances. Ask there opinion and recommendations for what they require

The most common question I get asked is why do painters wear whites my answer is always we wear whites in case we forget our colour charts so if your thinking of a colour more than likely I would have it on me somewhere

I think the biggest thing is that you can have is the trust of your client this makes everything run smoothly throughout the whole process the reliability will be one of the things that just happens

I will need to know what is involved in the scope of works that is needed also the condition of work that has to be done weather there is such things as mould,flaking,rust,waterdamage etc most of the time I would have to sight and measure the job before a quote could be given

The first tip for a customer to save money would be to make sure there is know furniture in the way for the job to be completed. The second step would be to help prepare before  painting. The third step would be to make sure surface is in good condition

My pricing is very competitive because I am always checking material and labour costing throughout the industry to make sure I have the most competitive rates available

I have two options in the way that I quote my service's one is by quote the second is by hourly rate witch ever best suits the client either way will work for me

I specialise in all aspects of the trade the one thing I do like to do is faux finishing and also exterior roof restoration these are to just name a few that I would prefer
