Patio Options holds Public Liability Insurance.  We are fully licensed with the QBSA which provides the customer 6.5 years guarantee of workmanship.  We use Ausdeck products which holds a 15 year product guarantee.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I love building and seeing the completed structure.  This was a natural progression in my working life and gaining my builder's license made it possible.  I love assisting people to improve their homes and provide a better lifestyle or just a lovely family entertaining area.

Dear Steve My wife and I would like to thank you for the recent installation of a patio decking at our home. 1. What is the length of your warranty?  We offer 6.5 years workmanship through the QBSA and Ausdeck products hold a 15 years product guarantee. 2. What happens if you cease your business?  Even if I stop trading I am legally bound to honor the requirements of my QBSA License. 3. Do I need Council Approval? Legally you are required to gain council approval for any new structure built on your property. 4. Do I have to pay QBSA Insurance? The QBSA Insurance is required for any structure costing over $3,300.

We do what we say we will do.  We use only qualified installers who have a proven record for quality of workmanship.  We communicate directly with the customer to ensure their needs are met.

Patio Options will tailor your patio, deck or enclosure to meet your needs within council requirements.  We only use contractors who are licensed and have a proven high standard of workmanship.

1. The type of structure required including colour, size and style. 2. Existing  house plans. 3. If concreting is to be required. 4. Address, phone number and time for completion of quote.

1. Remove any old structures and provide house plans at time of quote. 2. Clear access to the site. 3. Remove any furniture etc from the site prior to commencement of work. 4. Ensure any gardens are cut back and do not cause any obstructions. 5. Provide accurate details of location of storm water. 6. Provide easy access to power.

Patio Options is a small business which does not have the overheads associated with the rental of office space.  This allows us to provide a competitive rate for our product.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Patio Options attends the site and provides a free quote.  We request a 10% deposit at the time of acceptance of the quote, a percentage on materials delivery and the balance on practical completion of the project.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I mainly deal with Patios, Carports, Decks and Enclosures.  However I have also had extensive experience with extensions.  I have extensive roofing and skylight experience.

As the owner/manager of the business I bring thirty years experience in the construction industry.  I hold a current QBSA License and I am a current member of the HIA (Housing Industry Association).
