  Turned what could have potentially been a one week job into a 3 month nightmare. It was only to remove around 2m^2 of tile from a balcony, repair the underfloor, waterproof and re-tile it. Tried to charge extra for jobs that should have been implied by the quote e.g charge me for the underfloor panels. Tried to weasel out of work that he explicitly told me he'd do (not removing all the tiles around the edge, and not building the lip he'd explicitly told me he'd do to prevent further overspill! I had to pressure him to do this). Didn't erect a safety barrier on the balcony - left it without balustrade for several weeks, posing a significant endangerment to my tenants, which I believe is against WHS law. Performed extra work that he didn't quote me on and I didn't confirm he should do - which is against Australian consumer law. Left a large bag of construction waste on my lawn, killing a large patch. Transferred to a skip which was left there for several weeks, killing an even larger section. He stopped returning my calls asking him to remove the rubbish so I took it into my hands to contact the skip company (Tor skips) several times over a period of two weeks, they told me repeatedly he hadn't paid them and wasn't returning their calls, so they wouldn't remove it. The skip finally disappeared only when I submitted a complaint to the department of fair trading (not sure whether he finally paid them or they gave up trying to contact him - but they told me they were going to blacklist his contact). I posted a similar review on the site where I got his contact from, which starts with hi and ends with pages, but they refused to publish the story!
