How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Having been in the building industry for a number of years I decided to up skill to include termite proofing to my list of services. Once I started with the pest control training I realised what an amazing and varied world the pest control industry actually is. I jumped in headlong and haven't looked back since!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One of my favourite stories is, an elderly customer found termites in her family home and was terrified of the damage they were causing. when we gave her our quote to eradicate the termites for her she burst into tears and started hugging us as our quote came in over  $1500 cheaper than the previous three quotes she had received, AND we were using a far more superior product AND offered a better warranty on our work. Since completing the work for this particular lady, she has organised another 5 jobs, ranging from more termite work to renovating a kitchen between all of her friends and family. we are in regular contact and whenever we are in her area we drop in for a coffee and usually a sandwich. :)

What do you like most about your job?

Besides the many strange and varied pests or problems we are called in to take care of I would have to say that meeting so many different people from all over the globe is one of my favourite things about this line of work. we have learnt so many amazing things about different cultures and never tire of learning about different countries and ways of life.

A question I always feel is an important one to ask is what products are going to be used and what effect they may have on you and your environment. Every good pest controller carries a copy of their products M.S.D.S. or material safety data sheet and a copy should always be available on request

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

To provide an accurate quote for our clients we need to know firstly what species of pest you would like to have treated, (Don't worry if you're not sure, as we are happy to come out and identify your pests, free of charge) how many rooms and floors your property has so we can calculate the areas to be treated whether your home has a subfloor or roofspace, if your property is on acreage or suburban blocks and if you would like garden sheds or any extra structures included in your quote.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

As we have done the maths to ensure that you get the best treatment at the best price there is not a great deal clients can do to alter the prices of our treatments. There is however a few things customers can do to ensure a hassle free service. Making sure that all areas of the home are accessible makes for a more thorough treatment and picking up soft furnishings like stuffed toys, clothing etc from the floors, makes our job much easier and therefore much more straight forward for our clients.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

Oneflare customers that choose to have a second pest treated at the same time, will get the second treatment for less than half price. So If you call us for a spider treatment and then decide to have us eradicate rodents for you on the same appointment will save over $100 on one of the treatments
