What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Be aware that the services offered by a registered architect are considerably different to that of a building design or draftsperson or interior architect. It is illegal to call yourself an architect if you are not a registered architect. To check, an architect will be able to quote a number which you can check here for NSW: https://www.architects.nsw.gov.au and here for Vic:  http://www.arbv.vic.gov.au. If they cannot quote this number, they are not an architect.

How much will my renovation/new build/development cost?  Our Concept Meeting is about understanding your aims, expectations, timelines, budget, site constraints & opportunities, site location, any foreseeable planning issues & more. Once we understand these aspects, we can provide a ballpark figure

Our services are uniquely structured to offer Australian property owners greater clarity, flexibility and efficiency. Architects from our team are not only all RAIA registered, but carefully chosen and peer-selected. For our customers, that means greater peace of mind.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We need to understand the site, what's next door, your aims, timelines, budget, any foreseeable planning constraints. Once we've clarified these aspects and developed up a rough concept that you're excited by, we can then provide a quote. All of the above is resolved in our Concept Meeting onsite.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Develop a clear brief. Provide previous plans showing dimensions (ideally). Ensure all key people in the household attend the meeting.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Flat fees for the first two stages of services. No 'locking in' contracts for the entire project. No 'percentage of the building cost' structure.  Instead, each stage of our services has a clearly defined fee.

Our focus is on home renovations and interior reconfigurations of all sizes, as well as new builds and developments, including feasibility assessments.

All of our architects are RAIA registered. They are also carefully selected by our Director, Robert Harwood, to ensure they have the skills to deliver excellent architectural services within our unique framework.
