Really happy with Must Have Maintenance who came in and landscaped our backyard and front yard. Great experience from the start to the end and we are super happy with how it has all come together. Already recommended Must Have to my mum who has booked them in for her garden!James H

Must Have Maintenance was the company hired by my neighbours to service their garden (mow the lawn, tidy up, etc). I didn't pay attention to the gardeners until I observed a large volume of garden dust and debris billowing over the boundary fence from my neighbour's backyard into mine. From the high vantage point of my back door overlooking my neighbour's backyard, I observed one of the gardeners as he used a leaf blower to dispose of the voluminous garden rubbish generated from mowing lawn that had grown to knee height. One can only presume that his logic was, 'I don't care where this dust and debris goes as long as I get it out of this garden that I am being paid to clean up'. The vast majority of the rubbish was merely transferred from my neighbour's yard to (1) the side of my house, (2) on everything in my open garage, and (3) in my backyard. Having said that, whilst the gardener's behaviour was inconsiderate and disrespectful, it was not illegal. But wait, there's more to this story. Later that evening, I went to put something in my green bin. I was expecting to find it in my driveway on my property, but it wasn't there. That is when I discovered that the gardener(s) had: (1) trespassed onto my private property, (2) removed my green bin from my property without my knowledge or consent, (3) filled my green bin with garden waste without my knowledge or consent, and (4) failed to return my green bin to my property. When I then went to check my neighbour's bin, I discovered the gardener(s) had also filled that. Both green bins were clearly labeled with the property address. My green bin had been situated on private property in a driveway that had no overlap with, and couldn't be confused for, my neighbour's driveway. Both green bins had been filled by the gardeners. All of this is to say that despite it being quite clear that my green bin did not belong to the property they were contracted to service, the gardener(s) wilfully ignored this fact in an approach I can only describe as 'the end justifies the means'. Dumping the garden dust and debris on the neighbouring property and trespassing on private property to retrieve a green bin in order to dispose of the overflow of garden rubbish was merely their cost of doing business. I am aware of the many positive Google reviews for this company. It seems reasonable to assume that they employ multiple gardeners and I acknowledge the possibility that mine is an isolated experience. However, from my perspective, none of that is relevant. The company Must Have Maintenance has demonstrated that they are prepared to employ at least two gardeners who (1) demonstrate an inconsiderate and disrespectful work ethic, and (2) are willing to engage in illegal conduct in order to get the job done. At best, it indicates poor company hiring practices. At worst, it indicates questionable company ethics and a rotten business ethos. Either way, Must Have Maintenance is certainly not the type of company that I would ever hire or recommend people to hire. Ever.Shane W
