Just to make sure we are on the same page: I am not the person you are after if you believe that every painter will provide you with the same precise and beautiful finish. I am not the person you are after if you believe everything you see on "The Block" or any other renovation show. I am definitely not the person for you if you are just shopping around for cheap quotes. Do not tar every painter with the same brush! When you are sick of the so called professionals - that a) leave your freshly painted room looking like a 3 year old has painted it. b) leave your home messy with paint dribbles and spills over your floor, bed, vanity, kitchen bench etc. c) lots of paint runs on your new walls especially on glossed doors and architraves from lack of experience or because they have no respect and care for your home. d) glossed doors that are blotchy with paint misses all over it. e) the paint from your 'brand new' 8 week old paint job peels off in particular doors. f) an inferior job because they cut corners including not correctly preparing the surfaces to be painted. g) using an incorrect and incompatible paint over an existing finish. h) ceilings that look like a patch work quilt. i) track marks from incorrect roller pressure when rolling. j) change their business or trading name regularly because they have so many complaints about the quality. I have been painting for the past 20 years, when I was a single mum with a very young daughter. This I will pay for out of my pocket. * I am here to help you and to answer any of your questions. I appreciate that your time is precious and I hope that you understand mine is also , therefore, as you deal with me and only me - you will not have sub contractors that I hire to complete the work it will be done by me. below you will find the Process which I use to assist my customers: * We organise an appointed time and date together for a quote. Where we will go through in detail the work you wish to have done. I will point out any problems that I see that may have consequences to future work that you may be contemplating. * I will then return to the office and type up your quote, email this to you or hand deliver whichever you prefer this may take up to 24 - 48 hrs to do: the quote will have a very detailed description of the work to be carried out with additional information that was verbalised to you onsite - this will all be outlined in print for future reference so that you have all the relevant information at hand. It is highly recommended that you read through the quotation in detail so that it is very clear what is included, what is not included, details of any warranty's that I give. It also is a chance to ensure that I have not accidentally omitted anything. * For emailed quotes - I then call you a day or 2 after to answer any questions you may have. * For hand delivered quotes - I go through the quotation with you step by step and ensure everything has been accounted for. * We then organise a suitable start date and time for the work to commence. * To comply with QBCC rules, regulations and guidelines - I will meet with you 1 week before commencement date to sign contracts and (If work is over $3300), to complete the Home Warranty Insurance Forms. * I will email an invoice to you for the deposit. Bank details will be on invoice. As stated by QBCC usually 10% when price is under $20k. Over $20k - 5%. A receipt given on fund clearance. * I will clearly convey to you how much time will be required and give you an approximate finish date allowing for rainy days of course. * If work will take longer than 2 weeks, progress payments will be required, this will also be stated in contract. As you will understand business expenses will still need to be addressed - Invoices and receipts will be emailed accordingly. * On completion of work I will email you the final payment invoice this will be due in 7 days from date of invoice.
