How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Funny story... It was the Zombies created by the amazing Rick Baker for Michael Jackson's Thriller video who inspired me to do make up which caused a butterfly effect,  starting up Mobile Make-Overs Australia to help people find the best hair, makeup and beauty stylists in Adelaide.

Best Bridesmaid ever;  The Maid of Honour who had a baby an hour before we arrived to do hair and make up and she still went to the wedding!  We did everyone's hair and makeup at the bride's house, then we drove to Burnside Hospital to do the maid of honour's hair and makeup, because she was adamant to attend her best friend's wedding.  Now that is loyalty and dedication!!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What hair and makeup specific training have they done? This question is rarely asked, but is very important. You don't want a retail assistant with only counter training. This is your big day and you will have your gorgeous photos forever.  Do you travel to your location on the day?  We have a studio for trials, but we are fully Mobile to make your life easier. Is the makeup panchromatic? You need this for your photos. Your photographer will appreciate this.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Should I wear suncream? Yes. The best anti-ageing product on the market. Pop it on after your usual skin care regime and we will do the rest. How much time do you need?  Best to allow approx 45mins per makeup and 30-60 mins for hair, depending on style.  We generally recommend having your hair and makeup done approx 1.5hrs before you have to leave the house. This leaves some Just-In-Case time, getting dressed time and some champagne time. :) Does the makeup stay all day?  Our products are professional and are designed to withstand long wear What makeup products do you use?  Only the best professional products, designed for photography, colour reflection, all day wear, comfort and great cover with natural and flawless finishes.  Some of the brands we use are Atelier, Laura Mercier, Ben Nye, Paris Berlin and Kryolan.  What is Airbrush makeup? A lightweight, air infused, extreme pigment makeup application style, which gives you a flawless smooth coverage that is durable and feels like you are wearing nothing at all. Just stunning.

Pick outside of the wedding season.  We have a winter discount for all weddings in June, July and August. The more services you book in a package, the more money you save.   Down hair styling is flowy, sexy and feminine, they are also cheaper hairstyles if you are looking to save.

Our hair and makeup packages start from just $130! This is below Adelaide's average price.  We don't cut corners and we believe you get what you pay for, but despite this, we refuse to charge high prices. We try to ensure our clients receive the best service, backed by the best training and the best professional products on the market. You deserve it.:)

How do you normally charge for your service?

We have so many services we charge either per service, or we can tailor make a discounted package just for you. Our hair and makeup packages are our most popular, but you might also like a spray tan, or lash extensions, not a problem at all.
