How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a young child I was always fascinated by the world of fashion & beauty, and while my peers were busy playing with toys I was more likely to be found with my head in glossy magazines reading about famous designers, models and make-up artists. As the years went by, my love of the fashion and beauty industry grew deeper.  At the age of 13 I decided that I wanted to become a makeup artist and hair stylist and to sell makeup..

I take each and every customer an experience to me, everyone has there uniqueness and personality and wonderful to speak to.  Its what makes my job more enjoyable meeting and chatting to different people and getting to know eachother while they get a 5 star service at the same time. All my customer's get the same treatment and it's what makes them come back to using my services in the future or referals.

One top thing that i love about my job as an artist is,that its crucial to constantly refresh my ideas and I find inspiration everywhere I look. I love the diverse creative people that I meet during continuously with my work and that they have all inspired me in one way or the other.

For me giving clients that "wow factor" plays a very important role as part of my services, if your not happy I'm not happy. I would like my clients to still feel like themselves and at the same time to look their absolute best. I take great pride with the work I do to help my clients achieve the look they are after by working with them also considering their personal style. When looking for a hair and makeup artist you will want to feel relaxed and at the same time have fun getting pampered.

Bridal party will receive a small gift for having me as their hair or makeup artist High school students will receive a 30% discount off their hair and makeup (discount only applies to student's and only for hair and makeup package not individual). Customers living in the western suburbs or within the 30kms of my travel radius will not have to pay for travel fee.

My services are charged on the type of job i am providing and extra materials that i would need to use for a particular job. Extra Travel fee's may apply if a job falls out of my travelling radius and parking if job is at a location were there is paid parking involved.

I have studied with one of the greatest and successful makeup entrepreneurs Napoleon Perdis in 1999. My experience during my studies involved film/TV, fashion shows and expo’s by working alongside Key makeup artists and hairstylists. I have also done work for the Australian film television and radio school as a key makeup artist for short films. From an early age I was fascinated by the industry, and being highly motivated I have gained over 15 years experience as a qualified makeup artist and 2 years as a qualified hairstylist.During 2004 I became a freelance hair and make-up artist were i established my own business Makigiάz specializing in weddings, special occasions,school formals,concert's and photography, this was to broaden my skills and further enhance my experience and exposure within the industry.The name Makigiάz comes from the Greek terminology meaning makeup, i have chosen makigiάz because of my Greek background/heritage and uniqueness of the name. I have completed several training courses, this gave me exposure to working and being familiar, with several leading brands and their products. This has also inspired me to become a Independent Presenter selling Makeup for Younique Products.
