Yes , We are fully insured through Allianz with a 100 million dollar insurance policy.  All our parts and labour are provided with a 5 year warranty.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I chose to start my business because I like the feeling of leaving a job knowing that I have made someone happy. I like the way that we can generally complete a number of jobs throughout the day and every job has a different element. I also like that I am responsible for the business and it's future. I have a wonderful family with my wife and 3 children whom I like to know that I am supporting.

We have had literally thousands of customers throughout the years. Many of these customers have become regulars and then we also help thier families with thier needs. It's great the way it all works.  We recently rewired and upgraded the Antenna at a block of 8 units. The tenants couldn't beleive we completed it in a day. It was nice to look at that job, completed, neat and tidy, done right with everybody in the block having a perfect TV signal.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Firstly I would say, if the business owner that you are speaking to sounds unfriendly or unhelpful then this is probably a good indication not to use them.  Some businesess have a call centre that take the calls and bookings. I have found that some of the franchisees don't always have the best technicians.  Ask if they have a call out fee. Many companies will charge you up to $80 for the trip to your job then charge for every 15 minutes that they are there. This can blow out to big $$$. Also look out for GST. Our customers genrally ask us what jobs we can do? Please see above for the work that we provide.  When can we attend the job? Most jobs we can attend within 24hours. If the job is urgent, I can often attend the job on the day.  We also get alot of people calling with problems that can be rectified over the phone. I am always happy to give free advice.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Whilst doing my apprenticeship over 20 years ago I quickly worked out the difference between good tradesman and bad tradesman. Let's face it, there are some terrible tradesman out there and I have never understood how they survive in business?  I am naturally a friendly, polite and honest person. I beleive that what go's around comes around. My other technician, Paul has been a blessing to our company and I get calls weekly from customers on how pleased they were with his work.   If there is a problem I am quick to rectify it and assure that my customer is satisfied.  Over 70% of our jobs are repeat or referred jobs. Without our satisfied customers we wouldn't survive. We will not charge a call out fee and can generally give you a set price on what you require so there are no surprise expences at the end of the job. What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We simply require the details of the job, the suburb and address of your property or business, you name, email (if required) and your phone number.  Sometimes it is good to know wheather you are renting or own your property as you may need to organise your job through your agent or bodycorp. We can help with this by speaking to your agent or body corp representative directly.

Depending on the job, you can save money by following these 3 steps.  1. Give information on the house such as if it's brick and tile or highset? 2. Is the house timber or steel framed? 3. Give clear details on what you require. If it's a signal issue, sometimes we can fix your problem by trouble shooting, over the phone- This is free.

We can bring you the best price. We order our stock in bulk and pass the savings to you, our customer. Local Bloke Antenna only uses quality materials that last in all weather conditions - One of the reasons we can provide a 5 year Warranty- We know it's going to last.  We research what our competitors are charging and do our best to beat other prices.  We are not always the cheapest howver I have found that the cheapest often means a poor job with poor materials.  If you get a better price let me know and I'll do my best to beat it!

We specialise in Antenna installations, Signal issues, Additional TV Points. We have professional Signal Meters that give accurate readings for your TV signal.  From Mounting TV's on walls to Rewiring and upgrading a block of flats we can do it.  We offer services for all Home Theatre requirements. If you require advice on how things work, HDMI cableing, digital optomisation, we can help you. We leave written easy to follow instructions.  We provide all materials and installation for Wall Mounting Flat screen TV's and can conceal cables in the wall so your TV is neat, tidy and secure.

I am a qualified Electrician with more than 20 years experience and have been specialising in TV Antenna and Home Theatre Installations and repairs for over 10 years.
