The old saying "pictures speak a thousand words" is very true in our work. When you have an accident it is enormously helpul if you get out your phone and take pictures of where the accident happened, the general scene, the damage etc.

People usually want to know "how long will it take to finalise my clam?". The answer is different for each person. The simple answer is: 1) You can only think of settling your claim when your injuries are medically stable; and 2) If your claim is properly prepared right from the begining, then you will reach finalisation a lot sooner.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1. The date of your accident - you only have 3 years to claim. If your enquiry is more than 3 years after the date of your accident then you may not be able to claim. You should get legal advice on this.  2. Did your accident happen in WA? If not, then you may need to chat to a lawyer in the state in which your accident happened. You should chat to your lawyer about this.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Have you reported your claim? This can be to the Police, your employer or to the insurance company.  2. Make sure that you have the names of all the hospitals and medical practitioners who you have seen.  3. Have copies of all receipts and invoices that you want to include in your claim.  4. If you have lost time from work, have your payslips that show your usual weekly wage, and how much leave you have had to take from work.
