Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Yes my business is insured. Public liability up to $10 million. Yes I do guarantee my work. Depending on the job, warranty on materials that manufacturer offers and 12 months warranty on workmanship, not that that's ever been an issue.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
Must have been fate I guess.. As a toddler I successfully blew up a power point with my fathers keys. At the age of 4 got electrocuted by plugging in a 3 pin plug without the cover on, switched on the power point and proceeded to pull the plug out! By 5, I had removed every fuse out of the switchboard one day. In primary school, I wired up 12v lighting in a 4 room cubby house that a friend and I built. From there fairly quiet until high school. showed interest in electronics, making kits and such College, I still pursued electronics and basic low voltage electrical. Also pushed into engineering and physics. One day I saw an ad in the local paper for an electrical apprenticeship. I applied, topped the entrance exam and was offered a job in ACTEA. By the end of my apprenticeship I had Multiple Credits and Distinctions at TAFE and in my final year was awarded ACT electrical apprentice of the year.
