  Our job involved a retaining wall that required repair as it was sagging and we sought a number of quotes but only 4 responses received. JLM's quote was the best and as we had used them a couple of years ago for a similar job and we had been very satisfied with their work, we chose them. Our neighbour who was sharing the repair cost agreed to go with John's quote and as he was selling in the very near future he needed the work completed quickly. JLM were very flexible and were able to slot the work in to their schedule. John's team headed by Luke carried out the job efficiently, speedily and with a minimum of fuss. They repaired the landscaping damaged in the repair process to a high standard. We couldn't have been happier.

  Standard of building work on new deck was ok, but there were quite a lot of issues identified during the job which needed to be rectified requiring some of the deck to be pulled up and re-done. Standard of workmanship overall was poor, they got wood stain on tiles and walls, left rubbish which caused the grass to die, spilled cement on driveways, cigarette butts everywhere.....garden edge tiles lifted after 2 days of being laid, after needing to be done twice to get them straight! They also broke 2 retractable hose pipes (although they did knock some money off the bill to cover these). While most of the issues were rectified on requested it would have been appreciated if a better job had been done in the first place....we would not be using them again or recommending them to others.....
