Most clients just want to know prices. In our industry in WA, it is an unregulated industry, so anybody can do building inspections. Clients should focus on ensuring that the inspector they select, are a registered builder with full insurance and at least 5+ years experience in the industry.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I have a police clearance, that is updated yearly. Client satisfaction is my main objective. I also dedicate 30 minutes or more to go through the report with the client so that they fully understand the scope of the report.

Building and Renovating in the Perth local construction market since 2001. Trade qualified Bricklayer and registered builder BP103259. Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.  A Tramex moisture meter (non-invasive) is used in all external walls of all wet areas (particularly showers and tap fittings) to check for any possible water leaks. Thermal imaging cameras are used to inspect the ceiling areas for lack of insulation or potential water leaks from service pipes.  A service that is above and beyond what is normally accepted.  Inspections are broken up into 3 Major Parts. 1. Identifying Safety Hazards:- issues that are of a hazardous nature. 2.Major defects:- any items that require major work to be carried out, in order to rectify the defect. 3. Minor defects:- these are considered Maintenace items and will be listed and recommendations on how to rectify the issues, and what trade can be appointed to carry out the general maintenance tasks. These are generally carried out at the client's discretion.

The address of the property to be inspected and when is it required. It is always best practice to ensure that there is enough time for the inspector to carry out the inspection and provide the report before settlement.

Always provide the address so we can research the property and highlight any areas that the client may have concerns. Combine a building and timber pest inspection as I offer a discount for a combination of services.
