Yes we are an insured business. We do require a retainer (i.e. a booking fee) that we ask for upfront and this is to guarantee you that we will 100% show up on your booking, so you don't have to be concerned about cancellations or any no-shows.

Make sure they have lots of pictures on their website or social media for you to peruse in addition to information regarding their services. Also make sure you look to see if they have any testimonials from their clients and don't forget that if you want to be sure the testimonials are real, then you can always check that the people who have given the testimonials are real people if you 're not sure or just want to be 100% sure you're being told the truth about the way their clients feel about the services they are provided (i.e. you can always do a quick check on google or via social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram that the testimonials are actually from real people.)

What we neglect to mention are the months leading up to the big day that are filled with cakes tastings, venue hunting, trips to the florist, engagement shoots, and the list goes on. And yes those pieces of the puzzle are important, but many brides skip over the equally important task of booking a pre-wedding consultation and preview of their wedding day makeup and hair. Booking a pre-wedding makeup and or hair consultation and preview falls in the ‘Top 5 Important Things To Do’ list and in planning everything else, this is the one thing brides typically tend to overlook.  We would always recommend a wedding preview. It allows you and the makeup artist to not only be formally acquainted, but also allows you to evaluate their professionalism, gauge their work, and also tests just how well you two vibe. Let’s face it, you wouldn’t want an unprofessional makeup artist or hair stylist who not only doesn’t get along with you and your party, but also does a sub-par job on makeup or hair. ​Instead of stressing about your exact look on your big day, booking a wedding preview will give you the freedom to tweak and perfect your final look BEFOREHAND. This means, finding the right foundation and the right foundation shade, find which false lashes (if any) works best for you, and how the makeup and hairstyle will last throughout the day (after the wedding preview).​ It’s one less thing to worry about. Jenstar Makeup's Senior Makeup Artist received her formal training and national accreditation at the Perth College of Beauty Therapy and her love of enhancing the natural beauty of women has also led her to receive valuable industry knowledge and beauty training with international makeup artist and beauty educator Donna Mee. The Donna Mee Methods of makeup application has given our Senior Artists valuable makeup application skills that main stream makeup schools do not teach. These include corrective makeup skills and skincare knowledge along with the ability to provide expert advice in brow shaping techniques. We are a mobile makeup and hair business however we also have a makeup studio located North of the River which is generally where all makeup wedding previews are held . There is no call out fee when you come to us, and it means you get the luxury of having your makeup done without the normal interruptions you may have at home. How do you normally charge for your service?

We accept electronic funds transfers (EFT) via direct debit (bank deposit) and we also accept cash payments. Credit cards and PayPal are available via payment online if required (however - these may incur a 3% processing fee). Please also note that if it is specifically requested by you, we may also accept payments to be made via cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin etc).

Our beauty service caters to all occasions - from formals to parties, or maybe just a date night (and everything in between!). Our group packages are perfect for hens parties, bridal showers, a day at the races or girl's night in. We can accommodate individuals as well as groups up to 15 people.
