Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Very unprofessionally written notes, invoice and experience overall. 3 times wrongly signed copies were scrunched up and left on the table. I was greeted by Patricia wearing sunglasses in a tiny rented office without a window and later harassed with a reminder email and phone calls to my partner demanding immediate payment not even 24 hours after meeting. However never received a note of having received my funds transfer on the following day. repliedJenman Mcmahon Turner Solicitors & Conveyancers16 Oct 2020
I am sorry Doris that your appointment was disappointing but i need to address your untrue and ill founded allegations. You made an appointment to go through a binding financial agreement that had been prepared by your partner, a solicitor. I was to witness and have you execute the agreement on 2 pages after explaining the document to you, which I did. There were no written notes available at the meeting, the only notation was the prepared agreement. Therefore you cannot allege that I had unprofessionally written notes. The Invoice that I sent you was not unprofessional, but was a normal Tax invoice. Yes there were 2 wrongly signed copies (which I thought at the time were wrong) made on witnessing, not three as you suggest and the wrongly perceived errors were caused by the document that you gave me to witness. The word Address was below three spaced lines instead of before the three spaced lines and I initially and looking at the matter in hindsight rightly filled my address in the dotted lines above address. However, when I looked at where I had initially written my address, it appeared to me at the time that it should have been under the title, Address. I therefore wrote the address again on a second page making the same mistake. This was inadvertent at the time and the two papers were not left on the table as I strongly recollect getting out of my chair in front of you and putting the 2 pages in the rubbish bin. I was not wearing sunglasses but they were prescription glasses that I required for sight on that occasion. I was not in a tiny office without a window , Level 1/299 Castlereagh St is a large floor comprising many rooms. You were not harassed less than 24 hours later. Your appointment was at 3.00pm on Monday the 12th and you unlike all other clients took your executed binding financial agreement without paying my fees of $375.00 which had been disclosed to you previously and asking me to send you the invoice. This is not my normal practice. My normal practice is to hand over the executed agreement after payment of the fees. I waited almost 48 hours, not less than 24 to email you and your partner on the following Wednesday at approximately 11.05 am . I was concerned that you were not intending to pay me as you had taken the executed material without initially paying at the same time. In this day of electronic transfer payment the invoice sent to you is all that is required from me. The electronic transfer is evidence of payment.Wilf D

Rose and I would like to thank Patricia for the excellent job that you did with our separation agreement some eleven months ago. It has tiurned out to be exactly what was needed in our situation and has facilitated an amicable separation. We are more friendly towards each other now than we were a year or two ago. Your document was easy to follow yet covered all the necessary items in sufficient detail. It enabled peace of mind without unnecessary stress-full arguments. We also appreciated your work on our conveyancing which went smoothly without any problems. Thank you once again . Wilf Deck.Jen D
