Our director & principal, Mr James Jackson is an experienced criminal defence lawyer with 15 years of trial experience obtained solely in criminal law. After leaving university he spent 12 years working at the prosecutor’s office, where he learnt how prosecutors build cases and secure convictions. He appeared on numerous difficult jury trials in the District and Supreme Courts and forged a reputation as a fearless and skilled advocate. His defence career commenced at a highly regarded criminal defence firm, where he was trained by one of Perth's leading criminal lawyers. He quickly proved himself a skilled defence lawyer, obtaining a 'no case to answer' decision on a serious District Court drugs trial, as well as numerous acquittals and very favourable sentences on serious charges. Now running his own firm, James uses the knowledge he gained in his former roles to dismantle prosecution cases and secure acquittals for his clients. His mission remains to achieve extraordinary results, even in difficult cases, and to make a real difference in the lives of his clients. James will keep you fully informed at every stage of your case. One of his major strengths is his ability to always communicate promptly, clearly and decisively. He is approachable, street-smart, and understands the stress and trauma suffered by people accused of criminal offences. James practices solely in criminal defence.
