Yes J&R Landscape/Designs are a fully insured business covered by multiple groups and all our work is guaranteed and if you are not happy with the work we will come back and fix any issues without a cost to you

I got into landscaping based upon pure luck, I was walking past a building site and the builder asked my opinion on his garden. Since that day I have found a love for designing and creating

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My favourite customer story was when a young women dying of cancer, she reached out to our company to help her mum fix her yard. She wanted to do this for her mum due to her mum losing her job to help her daughter 24/7. So I took upon the job and quoted the little girl. When I finished she spoke to me and said I don't have that kind of money and started crying. I went back to the car and cried, I said to my wife I am going to be there tomorrow, and I was. I did the job free of charge

What do you like most about your job?

What I most like about my job is owning my own company and having the freedom in the workforce you don't get working a 9 to 5 job for minimum wage. I also like the look on the customers face when they see the finished product and have a big smile on there face.

Are you qualified, how can you guarantee your work, previous references, pictures and a written up contract is a great safety net for both the client and the contractor

The most asked question in my line of work would have to be funny enough about how I charge for labour, I answer by saying we charge on a m2 basis as apposed to hourly rates.

Your only as good as your last job, so I say to my clients who seem to really need to gain that trust from me to call my last client  to see how they feel about me as a person and the job completed

I need to know, the size of the property in m2 if possible, what you want done, a basic budget that we can work around, a start date and also a smile at the end of the job

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

A customer can save money on products ie: materials etc by using low cost materials, but still look great, allowing me to design a landscape to there budget, and choosing us as we beat any written quote.

Any job over $3000 spent at one time gains a voucher per once only, to have a full garden treatment inclusive of lawn moving, edging, pressure wash driveways, weed killer, trimming etc. to be used on yourself or somebody who desperately needs it.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Our basic charging system is based upon the m2 of work not upon a hourly rate, this is so the customer gets a fair price and all our work is guaranteed as apposed too spending 2 weeks longer on a job and costing the client double the initial quota for labour. On most occasions out site inspections do accrue a small fee based upon the size of the property.

We believe we do not specialise in one aspect alone but the whole work undertaken. We do not rate on thing over the other, our company prides ourself on the finished product alone. We do it all here at J&R Landscape/Designs, no job is too small or too big.

Between the team at J&R Landscape/Design we have over 50years of experience in designing and ground work. Last year our team was able to pride our selves on winning the 2013 horticulture design award, giving us a great ego boost. We also have a vast array of awards from worksafe, and apprentice of the year awards.
