Yes I have public liability insurance and income protection insurance. (Accident and illness) All my work is guaranteed and all materials used are australian made and covered by a manufacturers guarantee.

Family business. I think it's in our blood. we have working hands and minds. it's hard to turn your back on something you have always known

I have been tiling my whole working life, I am married with 3 children. I have grown up here on the coast where I learnt my trade and completed my apprenticeship

Over 32 years experience. i have been tiling since i was 15 years old. I completed a real apprenticeship. There is nothing I haven't tiled. I am a confident tradesman and I take pride in my work.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The size of the tiles and the type of tiles. E.G 600x600 porcelain, rectified tiles, ceramics, stone The substrate to be tiled e.g. concrete, timber, brick, villaboard, etc. Access to the work area, power and water Work hours and any restrictions such as leaving out walkways for access to rooms etc.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Have your tiles there and as close as possible to where they are to be laid. Clean the areas to be tiled. Remove all furniture and obstacles. have good access to an outside area where the tiles can be cut, adhesive mixed etc.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I price competitively by viewing the job inspecting the substrates to be tiled eg. concrete floor, villaboard walls etc. then calculating the labour and materials required to complete the project.

i like to visually inspect the job, the substrate, the tiles, then calculate the labour and materials needed then submit a guaranteed fixed price.

Large area specialist. E.G. garage floors lounge/dining billiard room floors. Commercial kitchens. Bathroom and general wet area tiling with all tile types.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Accepted Answer

Completed a apprenticeship in Solid plastering/Wall and Floor Tiling. Tiling since I was 15 full time and on site with my father from when I was 6. I have tiled everything from laundry splashbacks to shopping centres and High rises.
