• What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

  How long does it take to design a space? Lots of factors, including building codes, space and actual client expectations vs reality play a big factor in the studio time. I work on 4 weeks through to 6 months on some projects, depending on the level of involvement.

• What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

  Every job is different, and no two clients and spaces are the same. Getting a feel for the space, amount of design, refinement and actual construction documentation is a big factor in working out a design fee. A colour consultation is much less involved than a full restaurant design.
