Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes and Yes! $5 million dollar liability insured, and I always guarantee my work. I've never needed to claim on my insurance and hope I never need to! I've never needed to return to a job either. I believe in doing it right the first time. For the customers benefit and my own.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I remember quoting someone over the phone. I did the job on the way home. When I got there he was a pensioner and the job only took less than an hour. He insisted on paying me the full quote, but I couldn't accept. So I went home with 2 bags of oranges and fresh herbs from his garden!

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

There is a sense of satisfaction when you look back at a house or new build and the windows are crystal clear. Also I enjoy the aspect of being out and about every day in and around this beautiful city of Perth and meeting new people. Don't think I'm suited to an office job.

Is your work guaranteed? (Yes, it is) How many years experience? ( I have over 20, 10 in Window Cleaning) Are you Local or Franchise owned? (HomeBrite is Local) Are you insured? (I have $5 million liability insurance)

Usually the price. But I do get asked as to the cleaning of Glass Pool Fences fairly often. Also how long will it take. Yes I do Pool Fences and if you have received my "Price Guide" and added up the cost, that gives me a fair indication of the length of the job.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Well I'm Police Vetted for a start. So I've never been in trouble with the law! My business depends on being trustworthy. I do work for a few Real Estate Agents, so I have access to keys. Sometimes I'm doing work when nobody is home, they leave a key out for me. My livelihood relies on being completely reliable & trustworthy.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

My prices are very reasonable. I'm not el cheapo, but I'm also not expensive compared to some companies. But I do a thorough job. You do get what you pay for sometimes. Anyone who is very good at their job doesn't do it on the cheap.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

With residential or shop fronts, cafes etc nothing really. But with New builds and Renovations I will always come out to view the property to quote. This is because each build varies as to the amount of work needed. Some builds are fairly straight forward, others have a lot of paint and muck to clean. Not only from the glass, but the frames and tracks.

The way my pricing is structured, the cost is pretty much fixed. But if they refer a friend I do give a 5% discount. Not all window sizes are standard or the same. So I generally under quote anyway. Especially if they remove ornaments from window sills and other fiddly bits that saves me time.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I price my Window Cleaning per pane of glass, per screen brushed & washed & per set of window tracks cleaned. This means it doesn't matter how long the job takes, you know exactly what you are paying. I also have a "Price Guide" that I email my potential customers. This allows them to easily work out the cost before I arrive. It also saves me time running about quoting on jobs which means I can keep my costs down.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge per pane of glass, per screen & per set of window tracks. I find this a fair system. As it doesn't matter how large or small a job or how long it takes me. Every customer is getting the same price.
