Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are fully insured for our work.  If we were to break anything we will take responsibility.  If you pack your own boxes, the only damage that is insured is if we drop the box, if we pack for you it is insured.

I enjoy the physical work.  I am also a very laid back person and try to make the stressful time of moving as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Great Divide Removals is a family owned and operated business.  It is my reputation on the line every job and I work hard to maintain a standard that our customers have come to expect from us.  The highest form of flattery for us is when we get repeat business as we obviously did the right thing by the customer the first time.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The things that vary the price considerably are, 1: How much you have to move.  2: How good is the access (can we get the truck close? Is there stairs?  Is it an open plan house?)  3: Have you used uniformed sized boxes (if boxes are all the same size they move and stack safely and quickly)

Tips to save money, 1:Use removalist boxes as they are a uniformed size which makes it quick and easy to move and stack on the truck.  2: Be well prepared, any delays waiting for packing or fridge/freezer to emptied costs you.  3: Have all beds and other large furniture disassembled ready to go.

For payment we accept Cash, Cheque or Credit Card on completion of the work.

I have over 20 years experience in the transport industry in many different roles which has lead me to this point where I can offer my customers a high level of customer service and at the same time offering a very competitive rate as we are a family owned and operated business.
