Makeup has always been a passion of mine since high school. Having been in performing arts I discovered it was something I had a natural flare for when doing makeup for others backstage. I did my first course and haven't stopped, always continuing to learn and educate to offer my clients the best service!

Ask about experience and to look at the makeup artists portfolio, before and after images rather than photoshopped images. This is more important than looking at prices, there are many budget services out there from people claiming to be makeup artists and in this industry you pay for what you get.

I always hear "I want to look natural" this is normally followed by questions such as.. What do you normally wear for makeup everyday? What makeup would you wear yourself if going to a special event today? Do you have any pictures of the natural looks you like? I ask these questions as one persons idea surprisingly can be very very different from the next persons idea of natural! This along with many other questions I ask at the trial helps me to connect with the client and identify what look they'll love!

How do you normally charge for your service?

A deposit is required to secure your booking with Amanda La Monica and/or her team. This is not an additional amount, it is deducted from your quote and the remainder is left payable on the day of the service. The deposit amount is $200 unless otherwise specified by Amanda La Monica. The deposit can be paid on the day of your trial or by direct account transfer/deposit, credit card, cheque or money order.
