Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes, we have public liability insurance for up to $5,000,000. We also guarantee our work for the life of the warrantee of the products we supply. Once the warrantee period has expired, we can no longer guarantee the product but will still guarantee our work and wiring.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After completing an advanced diploma in mechatronics, I found that the area that interested me and I excelled in most was electronics. From there I was offered an apprenticeship with a company which I remained with until starting Gilmour Electrical Services

The thing I like most about the trade is seeing the before and after pics of a room and seeing clients post pics to show their friends.

With a young family of my own, I understand the need for security and trust when it comes to tradesmen entering your home. I try to make all clients feel safe and comfortable with me and will make sure you are 100% satisfied with the work done before sending through an invoice.

The description of work to be done. Type of roof and type of external and internal walls. Are your power and lighting circuits protected by a safety switch

What makes your pricing competitive?

We take pride in being able to complete our jobs quick and neat. This means when quoting your job, we quote on less hours which in turn will hopefully make our quote cheaper than most.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Cash can be paid on completion and an invoice will be emailed, or after the job is completed we can send an invoice out which can be paid by bank transfer before the due date.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Supply and installation of LED lighting. We get very competitive prices on good quality products which allows us to pass these savings onto our clients. We are highly experienced in all domestic applications

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

With over 9 years experience in the Trade, there is not much I can not do. Most of my experience has been domestic, but I have also had a lot of experience in the commercial and industrial side of things. Recently I have been working closely with security companies installing CCTV and alarm systems.
