Grahame had a unique training apprenticeship which was split between commercial and domestic companies since he joined the industry at the young age of 14 years. In his final years as an apprentice he learned and gained experience from old fashioned tradesmen of the highest quality. It is this learning that has enabled Grahame to be proficient in all aspects of painting and decorating, Grahame has taken on a wide range of projects from large scale industrial projects to carrying out technical domestic work of a very high standard. Grahame ensures a superior paint finish including immaculate enamel detailed finishes. He is an expert on every aspect of his work, from preparation, cross linings, walls and ceilings. I pride myself on cleanliness so when beginning my work I ensure that furniture is removed or covered and at the end of each day I will leave the job as tidy as possible. At the end of the job I ensure that the floor areas are swept and cleaned and all furniture is put back or uncovered. As with many projects unexpected problems can occur from time to time however I ensure that these are discussed thoroughly and aim to resolve the problems with the least disruption. Preparation is the key to achieving and exceeding expectations in quality workmanship so I pride myself on spending valuable time in this area. This includes preparing surfaces by sanding, filling minor cracks, applying adequate coats of paint, sizing and cross lining the surface before wallpapering to achieve an excellent finish.
