  This will depend on the service required by the client however a few items that will assist: 1. For business: Bookkeeping software should have bank feeds, be reconciled regularly and where possible attach receipts to your expense entries. 2. Individuals: Keep your expense receipts. The ATO has an app called myDeductions where you can keep all expenses in one place. 3. If you are changing to a new accountant provide a copy of the prior year tax return. This will ensure no carry forward deductions or losses are missed.
