How did you decide to get into your line of work?

With a flare for creativity and a passion for weddings, there is no better job than spending the last moments of a brides single life preparing her for the biggest day of her life. It is so rewarding. I researched makeup colleges and completed my certificate after high school. I found my passion in bridal/glam makeup so I started doing some weddings at 19 years old and grew from there. I am now in my 30's and carry much experience within the industry, forever researching the latest looks and styles to stay modern yet always love traditional touch

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I booked a bridal party of 6 which was then expanded to 10. On the day it expanded again to 14. I did 14 faces including the bride, bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers and relatives in 7 hours. I finished off the bridesmaids and took photos in their room while they got dressed and was there until the moment they stepped into the cars. The bride was so appreciative and we all had such a beautiful morning that she invited me along to watch the ceremony. It was so amazing and the hard work pays off when I see the end result.

What do you like most about your job?

I love being a part of the whole process. Brides are usually in touch between 6 and 12 months of their wedding day which during that time we create a relationship, discussing styles and expectations and I'm always willing to give advice if they are unsure of what they want. They often share all the exciting details of their event and we sometimes meet up for a trial. Seeing the end result on the day is definitely the most rewarding part of my job. It's often the first time we have met after almost a year of emails back and forth of planning so it's really exciting for both of us. Bring involved in someones special day and making them look and feel amazing is so magical.

If you are unsure of what you want, I am here to help so asking for a trial will help you feel confident with the look being created for your special day. I will take into consideration the amount of makeup that you are comfortable wearing and the look you would like to achieve and also give advice on suitable colours and styles.

"Do you get many bridezillas?" The answer is "No". The mornings of weddings are so delightful and special. If the bride seems a little stressed I will do what I can to create a calm environment and help with anything I can.

After servicing the Central Coast for many years under Estelle Artistry, I have relocated and am now servicing the Mudgee Region under Nikki Baxter Makeup. My makeup artistry looks are created specifically to suit the individual from classic to modern day. I have obtained certificates and training and have 15 years industry experience.

Be very specific with what you want. If you are booking in a bridesmaid who is 12 and only wants mascara and lipstick please specify as this will not be a full rate. I am fair and create personalised quotes to meet requirements.

Each quote is personalised to style and type of work required. Number of people, location and estimated time is all taken into consideration. Package prices are available and we are always happy to discuss payment plans and compare quotes.

A deposit of the total brides amount is to be paid via bank transfer to secure your booking. Payment arrangements for the remaining will be discussed prior to the day.
