• Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

  A couple of years ago I was called to a home in the Perth Hills where the man of the house was creating a surprise for his wife on the anniversary of their first date... imagine that, a bloke who remembers when the first date was! He just had the one room of carpet. We have a minimum charge so I said "I'm happy to do more, have a look around before I get there." I arrived and he asked about his Leather Lounge suite, that he had had since they got married, and had never had it cleaned. I quoted the job for him, he agreed. You must know that the lounge was a bone sort of colour... but when I finished I found out it was white, and in really good condition. He was over the moon at how it had turned out. I never found out how that night went for him and his wife, but I assume they sat of that lounge a while and reminisced.

• What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

  Q: Should I vacuum the carpets before you get here? A: Yes, to make sure you can see any blemishes to show your carpet cleaner. Q: How long will it take to dry? A: That depends a lot on the weather and the ventilation you provide in the rooms, but for the most part you should be thinking of at least 6 hrs on a warm day. Q: It your method the best way to clean carpets? A: In my opinion warm/hot water extraction is the best method for cleaning your carpets... if you could, you would wash them in the washing machine! The carpets are treated firstly with a soap/detergent that helps break down fats, and dirt. The rest of the work is done by the powerful vacuum system. The wand has 1, 2 or 3 jet sprayers that spray clean warm/hot water just before the vacuum opening. This means that the water never sits in the carpet, it is sprayed on, then sucked straight out again by the powerful, twin vacuum motors. Leaving your carpets damp, not wet.
