Emily Terry is absolutely insured. This is quite important as not only do you want someone qualified, you want a professional, insured business. We take pride in our work, hair and makeup is an art and it does come down to personal preference. We would always recommend a trial to make sure we suit each other

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was in the wedding industry already and I was always so envious of hair and makeup artists as I wanted to be creative (I had an office job) and so I followed that passion and haven't turned back!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We have so many happy stories, it is hard to pick one! We have had a few when people have looked in the mirror and burst into tears with how happy they are! It brings a tear to our eye too! (It also tests out the makeup for water proofing :)

We looooooovvvvvveeee what we do!! :) When you have a passion for something, it shows and we take pride in our work. We love when people feel good in how they look, as often that gives them more confidence on the inside by enhancing the outside. You can see them shine from the inside out.

Are you qualified? Are you insured? Are you registered? What products do you use? Too often the questions we mostly get asked is how much we are and we are compared by price. The difference in price is often how experienced/qualified a person is. You will get what you pay for.

What products do I use? I use a range of brands, personally tested to last. I also do not use any products tested on animals. Some of the brands/products used are Nars, Urban Decay, Kryolan, Inglot, Sleek, Anastasia Beverley Hills, RCMA the list goes. All designed to last all day/night!

The feedback we mostly receive from people is that we always make sure that the client is happy. We want clients to communicate as we go so we can make sure you are happy and there is no sneaking off to change something at the end :) we welcome any changes as we want you to feel confident and happy.

We offer both hair and makeup with a mobile service at high quality with a really competitive rate. We have many years experience and will always make sure you are happy!

The things we need to know to provide a quote is the date, the location for getting ready, how many people and the time you need to leave. Once we have all of these details, we can check our availability and provide the rates.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

A customer can save money by taking both hair and makeup as a package. We offer a very competitive rate to combine both.  They can save money with a group package of 3 or more And lastly with standard makeup over airbrushing - in my opinion it is just as good.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We offer a combined rate all inclusive of travel, we have a large team, so for larger parties you can have enough artists to get everyone ready at no additional charge. We have no hidden fees. We offer a very competitive rate for the service we provide.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We charge on a per person bases offering a flat rate inclusive of travel. We offer a discount on a combined deal of both hair and makeup (including lashes). The only time there would be additional small charges is if there is a parking fee, if we need to start before 7am or if it is a public holiday

At Emily Terry we specialise in glamour makeup designed to enhance your natural features, this includes bridal, formals, debutantes and events.

Some of the qualifications we have includes Diploma in Makeup, Certificate III in Hairdressing and Certificate III in Beauty. We have over 8 years experience in the wedding industry.
