We are insured.  Even no guarantee for work is provided, I will work with customers to achieve the results they require.  Sometimes, we may have to consult with a tax agent but we'll do what we can to get the best outcome for the customer.

A client approached me with a stressed look in his eyes, the tax-man is after him!  He hasn't completed tax returns for his business or himself for the last 3 years and he's been given an ultimatum.....submit within a deadline or pay whatever tax the authority estimates to be due. After bringing me all his boxes of paperwork, and 4 weeks later, he had his books up to date and could prepare and submit financial statements and tax returns.....with attitude!

Helping customers solve problems.  It's very gratifying to complete a job for a customer, knowing they will not still have it hanging over their heads.

Things get done by the deadline.  Good and honest communication - if something will be difficult to do, it is discussed at the outset.  Commitment to customers and respecting that they rely on my services to bring the results they need.

1. What business structure do you trade under? (Company, Trust or Sole Trader) 2. Provide an ABN 3. Are you or your business registered for GST and if so, when is the next BAS due? 4. What type of business do you run?  Selling clothes on ebay, catering, etc. 5. Do you employ anyone, how many staff in your business? 6. What bookkeeping software do you use? 7. Is bookkeeping up to date and if not, when was it last done? 8. What is your annual turnover?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Having a clear plan of what the customer wants to achieve in the end - putting some of that information to paper in a structured way can provide us with good insight. 2. Planning and organisation - as an example, don't just provide a box of paperwork, take some time to sort the documents in alphabetical order or date order, or some way that will make sense for your business. 3. Having past information handy - If you are moving from another bookkeeper, leave on a good foot and ensure they provide you with the data file and documents/reports up to where they last worked.  This will avoid rework and paying again for something that has already been done.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Charges are based on solutions provided.  Customers are encouraged to schedule a obligation free 1 hour meeting to discuss their business, the problems they face and the end result they would like to achieve.  Solutions are then tailored and presented to customers for discussion and negotiation.
