A nightmare from start to finish. We ended up complaining to the Queensland Building Commission and he was CENSURED for the terrible work on my house. The Commission found that his work was NOT that "expected of a competent holder of a contractor's license" because: 1. Surfaces were not prepared correctly and now the paint is blistering and delaminating. 2. There were paint overruns on window frames, services affixed to the dwelling (windows, doors, screens), gate and fence frames. The Commission issued him with Directives to Rectify the work, but he failed to do so. He can't deny it now. It's on the public record. This is in addition to the damage he caused to my property, that he used a much cheaper paint than the one he quoted, etc, etc.05 Apr 2021
One of the worst person I’ve had to deal with in 35 years of painting painted his house same colour accused me of painting all over his windows air-conditioners fences tiles everywhere when it was all old original paint I also have a lot of photos to prove this accuse me of dry paint any swimming pool how do you get paint in a swimming pool it’s full of water accuse me of damaging his roof when his roof was already damage and I have photos to prove this also Mr Chris Hun did not pay for the cherry picker that I had to hire to paint the front of his house which was in the quote for him to pay for also he did not pay me in for the monies are as to quote so all up I was owed nearly $3000 that he robbed me of what a lying deceitful dishonest person this guy is Chris Hunt his name is be very very careful trades people this guy does not pay even tried to rob the carpenter that come and work for him disgusting deceitful and dishonest I take great pride in my work that I do for the last 35 years nearly 2000 jobs I’ve done as to date it only takes a few people to ruin your reputation and this is one of themColin M
