How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always loved baking and producing sweet treats, so after I had my third baby I had a chance to set up a stall at a ladies market night, so I registered my business name, worked on designs and flavours, and Cupcakes by Linda was born, that was four years ago!!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My very first job was a wedding! I got it through Facebook. A friends friend had a wedding coming up and her cake maker had fallen through. At short short I was able to work with the bride and provide her with something special for her wedding. Since then I have done several orders for the family!!

That I get to be involved in helping plan that special event in your life. It may be a wedding, engagement, first birthday or baptism- whatever the occasion is we can work together to create something that has the 'wow' factor

Do you have a registered kitchen? Do you have insurance? Can you provide me with a quote? Are you cakes baked from scratch? Do you provide ingredient listings ? I can answer yes to all of these!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The date of the event and when pick up is required Flavour and size of the cake/cupcakes - or how many guests you wish to cater for Design or decorations required- any ideas or designs that you have in mind

I am always willing to work within a budget that you give me, I can often provide quotes for several ideas to help you create the perfect design that works within your budget. Happy to chat!

What makes your pricing competitive?

I strive myself in using great ingredients and making myself competitive with other businesses. Cheap cakes aren't good and good cakes aren't cheap. I do all the work myself, and try to keep costs down, I really take great pride and care in my work.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I have three sizes of cupcakes they are mini -$1.70, baby $3 and traditional $4. Cakes range in price from approximately $65. The designs are customised to suit your needs. I have a minimum order of 24 mini cupcakes and 12 baby/traditional cupcakes. All are baking fresh just for you !
