Hello I have been practicing Acupuncture for near on 30 years. My original medical training is as a Pharmacist and I studied Acupuncture postgraduate overseas. ( I still work part time at Findon in this profession). The style of Acupuncture I mainly practice now is Distal Needling Acupuncture ( DNA) first used and developed by Chinese Masters of Acupuncture and is still taught around the world. With this I aim for an 80% success rate in the elimination of pain and other symptoms (or at least 80%to 90% pain relief) This is the Balance Method where needles are placed away from the painful site thus minimizing discomfort after treatment. Of course I still practice TCM Acupuncture and local needling -some call it dry needling- and in some patients this style gives better results. Thus I seek out whatever works for my patients. I also use Traditional Chinese Herbal medicine for which I must feel the pulse and look at the tongue to individualize a formula My goal is to always provide the best service I possibly can. I believe I provide a courteous & friendly service in a comfortable environment I do not rush with my treatments and ask you allow 45 to 60 mins. per consult so that I can deliver the best treatment plan for your condition. I just ask that you be patient. Acupuncture is not a "quick fix" and it may take several treatments to correct the imbalance especially if there are other health issues. Not everyone responds favourably to Acupuncture and I will thus refer on to another health care provider where applicable.
