In the past ten years I am proud to say that I've never had any issues with my couples or their ceremonies and have had nothing but wonderful feedback from them, their families and friends.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I attended a friends wedding back in 2009 and spoke to their Celebrant after the wedding, mentioning how I would love to be a celebrant. She said I'd make a great celebrant and I should do it - so I did!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

No favourites and too many great stories to choose one, BUT I did step in for a celebrant friend who got ill literally 24 hours prior to the wedding and she had already replaced another celebrant who had to pass on the wedding. The couple were amazing and took it all in their stride!

What do you like most about your job?

The interaction and getting to know all my couples and making their very special day as stress free as possible. There are so many amazing love stories out there and every couple has a different and interesting story.

What do your fees include? Do you have a website I can look at? Are you a registered Celebrant and can I find you on the Attorney General's registered celebrant list?

What is your fee? That would depend on the style of wedding and location. We have no idea what's involved! Don't worry that's why I'm here, it's my job to help you through the process. Can my children give me away? Yes anyone can give you away even you fur baby :-)

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I don't do back to back weddings on the same day, so there's no pressure if the bride happened to be late for whatever reason. You won't be left standing there with no one to marry you because I've run off to do another wedding.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I'm a once percenter and always go above and beyond to make the process leading up to and on your day the best ever and I always hang around and help the photographer especially with the group photo - they love it! It's all about you! Outside of the legal words we'll work together to create a ceremony of your wishes and we'll have fun along the way. I'm very easy going and will get on with you, your fiancé, your kids if you have any, your animals and your family and friends and not necessarily in that order :-) Got a family member or a friend you want to marry you? No problems, I'll take the back seat, handle the legal side of things and they can do the honours!

The type of ceremony they would like, whether it's the full package that includes a rehearsal, a registry style, they want to elope or just do the legals and the location.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

Getting married on a week day is cheaper than a weekend. For the bride, it's amazing what dresses you can find second hand - let's face it they're only worn once for a few hours! Finding 'package deals' where you get the celebrant, flowers, photographer and venue.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I want you to be able to get married without having to worry about it breaking the bank so my variation in pricing depending on the type of wedding and the location is a big help.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

My fee varies depending on the type of service - whether you want the full shebang including a rehearsal and a state of the art PA system, or a Registry style, or maybe you want to Elope, or just want Legals only so you can have your cultural ceremony in your country of origin just ask for a quote.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in Civil weddings (not religious) and respect all cultures and dress accordingly. You want a fun but professional Celebrant, choose me. You want a wedding on a cruise ship, I'll be your 'cruisy' celebrant. You want a wedding in a Sikh Temple, I'll wear my Punjabi suit!

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been a Registered Civil Celebrant since 2010, have the certifications necessary and attend a professional development course every year to keep up to date on everything relating to Celebrancy.
